August 2010
Boston

Cleaning lady charged with stealing jewlery, valued at $275,000., from Boston home. After a jurt trial, Attorney Griffin's client was found not guilty of the larceny over $250. CLient does not have to serve any jail time, does not have to pay restitution and does not have to worry about any potential immigration consequences. Most important.. as a result of being found not guilty...client's good name is cleared. 

March 2010

Young man charged with resisting arrest and dsiorderly conduct. Defendant had no record, great education and bright future. Attorney Griffin was able to resolve the case with pre-trial probation. Result: Defendant did not make any admission, not found guilty. If defendant sucessfully completes pre-trial probation, case will be dismissed. Defendant's record preserved and future remains on track. 

January 2010

Charge of aggravated assault and battery. Attorney Griffin was able to negotiate with the Commonwealth and get the charge reduced to simple assault and battery and get the client placed on pre-trial probation. Result: Charge amended down to something much less serious. No conviction, no admission.
  

Stolen Vehicle Charge 
Roxbury District Court

Defendant charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle for not returning a rental car on time. Attorney Griffin was able to prevail upon the District Attorney and Judge to place the Defendant on pretrial probation. The Defendant did not make an admission, plead guilty, and will not have a conviction  Result: client will be required to make restitution.
  

Extortion Charge 
Brookline District Court

Defendant charged with Assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct in the Boston Municipal Court was placed on pre-trial probation. After arguments, Attorney Griffin was able to convince the Court and District Attorney to place Defendant on pre-trial probation, thereby not requiring the Defendant to make any admissions and preserving his record.  Result: Client placed on pre-trial probation for one year, with a letter of apology to the victim.

Disorderly Conduct / Assault and Battery / Malicious Destruction of Property
Boston Municipal Court

Client charged with Disorderly Conduct, Assault and Battery on a Police Officer and Malicious Destruction of Property over $250. Client was at a concert in Boston, visibly intoxicated and was asked to leave. Client gets in a tussle with police officers which results in damage to one of their uniforms. Client is represented by Attorney Griffin who is able to argue to the district attorney and convince the Court that Client should be placed on pre-trial probation. Result: Client makes no admissions or pleas of guilt. His case will be dismissed after completing community service and attending AA meetings. No record of criminal convictions for Client.

Possession of Marijuana / Intent to Distribute Marijuana
Framingham District Court

High School Senior, with terrific grades and scholarships to college, charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and distribution of marijuana. Client's parents hire Attorney Griffin who is able to convince the judge to continue the matter without a finding of guilt. Result: Client does not suffer a guilty conviction and does not lose his college scholarships.

Rape Charges
Middlesex Superior Court

Client is charged with rape as a result of an encounter after a house party. Client hires Attorney Griffin who tries the case before a jury, which acquits Client of the rape charge. Result: Not Guilty. Client does not go to prison or have to register as a sex offender.
